Entertainer / games host for kids b/day party

Post by Ophelia » Sat, 05 Nov 2005 11:02 am

Hi forum.
Having trouble finding a host for my kids birthday party on the 13th of November, from around 2.30pm - 5.30 pm.
My twin (soon to be) 9 year old girls will be pretty upset with me if I attempt to provide the entertainment and everything myself. So I am looking for somebody to take over the entertainment side of matters. Activities, games, dancing etc. whilst I prepare food and the such.

Have tried all the usual avenues, Spartacus, Toybox, Fantasy parties, unfortunately everybody is fully booked.

What we don't want are balloon sculptures, magicians, clowns, ventriliquists (these are in abundance) as my kids dropped the big yawning motion hints when I mentioned these. Unfortunately 'Mr Funny' could be heckled off his podium, and I wouldn't want to be responsible for the next two years of psychiatric help he may need after this

Can anybody recommend an energetic entertainer (or two) who can run rings around my kids, preferably female, who can help run and organise teams for a 'Hawaiian beach / survivor style party' and can keep them entertained whilst we do the rest.
Games include, hula dancing, Limbo walking, and others which I have pretty much planned. Other quieter activities will be craft oriented.

We are happy to supply and set up the props and all craft and games equipment ourselves, all we need is for some wonderful person(s) who can 'hula' to turn up and entertain and handle 25 - 30 kids for 2 - 3 hours on a Sunday afternoon at East coast Park.
Food and a handsome remuneration are offered in return for a good hosts services.

Is there anybody out there who can help, or can anybody recommend a firm who specialises in such events (other than the 3 mentioned above) to us.

Thanks in advance.

Ophelia
