1. Which are the areas/districts I should look around here in Singapore. My work location is Alexandra Road and my budget is around 800 to 1000 USD.
2. How is the difference between renting and leasing in singapore

Alexandra Road is in district 03. The term between leasing and renting is the same.

The places near alexandra road are harbour front, keppel, tangong pagar, raffles or normaton park.

Normal rates of whole apartment unit with partialy furnished starts from 1800SGD.

There is not much difference between leasing and renting as mentioned by the admin but,

if you are looking for the full house unit you will need to lease it for the certain amount of months or years whereby agreeing into a contract formally

if you are looking for a single master room only then you can rent it with the owner or friends who have leased the unit. mostly there are no formal contract agreement.
