unmarried couple with a child?

Hi
We are relocating to singapore pretty soon.
We are couple living together and have a son.
Do you think we going to experience difficulties as a we are not married. My partner does not need any working permit etc as she will be working (expecting our second child) ...

I think it is definitely easier to get dependent passes if you are married. We knew an engaged couple coming to Singapore for his job and their wedding was a few months away - it was easier to get her dependent pass if they were married, so they got married in a civil service before leaving for Singapore and then had their 'real' church wedding as planned later. I think the issue was she would have had to come on a temp tourist visa & not a dependent pass if they were not married. Hopefully others with more direct experience can offer advice, but I think it will be a lot of hassle for you if you are not married.

I have heard that it is really expensive to live in Singapore and I have recently visited and got a general idea of how things work. I am not sure if we should bring all our belongings or just rent an apartment fully furnished. I have two kids 8 and 6, should they bring bikes etc.[font=Arial] [/font] :D

Singapore is quite cheap compared to Europe or the US. Singapore, is on the other hand, quite expensive compared to most any other place in South-East Asia...
