Single Journey Visa Endorsement on P1 Employment Pass

Post by exge » Wed, 26 Oct 2005 11:55 pm

Hi All,

I am very confused. I am currently in Bangalore, India and have just been issued an " IN-PRINCIPAL APPROVAL LETTER FOR EMPLOYMENT /DEPENDENT'S PASS(es).

There is an endorsement on the the letter, along with the usual stuff,

" In addition a Single Journey Visa has also been approved and endorsed on this letter..............................................................To use this visa for entry, please inform the abovenamed person(s) to present the original in-principal approval letter to the Duty officer at the Immigration Checkpoint upon his/her arrival in Singapore"

My confusion, is that since i will be traveling through Delhi, some people think that inspite of the fact such an endorsement is mentioned in the letter, i still have to apply for and Entry Visa to Singapore at Consulate in India. I want to know, if anyone out there has experienced similar stuff and if that person did apply for the visa. People with experience of traveling from India will be particulalry helpful. :???:
