It's visible from one of the MRT lines. Photo was actually taken from a MRT train.

Let me make an intelligent guess. I don't think that shop house was built during turn of the century somehow, the early version is very simple looking, not 1940s either, somehow it did not have the art deco style, probably 1920s/ 1930s era when Peranakan and Neo classical influence was at its height.

I think its in Joo Chiat or Katong area, did I get it right?

Whoever painted that building deserves a real good smack on their bottoms :x

Urghh it looks so tacky and sticks out like a sore thumb.
