Where is this?

Post by Carpe Diem » Mon, 24 Oct 2005 11:46 pm

In the thread from Strong Eagle 'Had a ball...' there was a picture taken at the Fullerton Hotel.

I was quite sure it was there, and finally SE confirmed it himself.

This has given me an idea, which I hope will generate some interest...

The principle is one posts a picture taken in Singapore, then others try to find the place where it was taken. If you are right, you can post a new picture!

So I will start, and as a tribute to SE, here is my picture...

So where was it taken?

Thats got to be taken somewhere in Watten Estate. I understand there's a cowboy-hat wearing monkey running loose out there on some new fancy bike he just obtained. :P

Thank God I don't run there anymore. I would have thought I was suffering from dehydration had I seen a really happy two-legged banana roaming the jungle.

I'll take another stab - the zoo. (it was NOT the obvious answer!)

OK mine was too difficult so I fully agree that SE proposes another one.. (do I have choice anyway? )

The answer to the first picture with the monkey sign was Bukit Timah Nature Reserve.

And my answer to the second one would be Bukit Timah Nature Reserve as well?

I think the second one of SE is actually on Pulau Ubin... the lake in the middle of the island there.

And CD, wasn't yours taken next to the Visitors centre at Bukit Timah, where the hiking trail starts?

Little guilin in Bukit Batok. I think WIMH is spot on!
It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

So, SE, can you please confirm? Is this correct?

WIMH, better look for a picture to post...
