Strange things happening...

I am not sure whether others have noticed, but lately a lot of postings seem to have disappeared?

In the guest's corner, there was a thread on free education in Europe. At some point the discussion got a bit hot tempered and even a bit of personal attacks (what's new?) were coming in, but not to the extreme as in the past. Then yesterday I noticed there were some of my replies missing, whereas replies to that reply of mine (still following me here?) were still there...

Then vaucluse came in and posted a very substantial fact on the discussion. 2 guests reply and a registered member replied, I replied then to those 3.

This morning, the whole thread has disappeared?

Also, like CD, I have been missing more than a 100 postings in a day?

Don't get me wrong, I couldn't be bothered about the numbers of postings as such, but can someone tell me here what is going on?

Before I make any wrong assumptions here, I am feeling like I am on the angry board, where postings are just being deleted?

I am not amused...

I think the purpose behind it was to avoid anonymous posters posting rubbish. This forum is no where close to being the angry board!

Apologize for being too impatient to see it was moved to a different section. Still I see posts of mine missing in this discussion mentioned.

And it is still a question how come more than a 100 posts have gone missing as well?

Are threads being moved to an archive and if so, does that mean the numbers of posts drop accordingly?

We are now still investigating on that post count dropping and posts missing ....

Please inform me when there is any further reoccurance and I shall look into the log files.

Just would like to confirm about the post count, as Friday early morning I noticed I had 888 posts. And Sunday around 910 or 915 if I am correct.

An hour ago this posting was being posted. I replied by asking if the OP could explain why the (female) gender was of importance.

10 minutes later the thread was gone.

Now it is back, but my reply is gone?

What is happening here and why?

BTW and back in reality land I don't think any of us Mods delete anything unless its obviously an Ad or is just plain insulting to the human race (That should probably include most of my thread leh)
