Finding the right partner is the biggest challenge. True?

Post by spvijesh » Tue, 18 Oct 2005 8:29 pm

Hi,

I am a young entrepreneur and am planning to launch an innovative International Calling card business. I have strong domain expertise in the field and numerous years of experience. I can mostly fund the project myself as well as it does not require substantial investment.

I am looking for a marketing oriented type of person who can front the business and grow it, as I cannot commit myself full time to it. However this seems to be far more challenging than I thought. Firstly it seems difficult to find the right kind of people for the job. Secondly the "right kind" seems to fail miserably when it comes to the hard deliverables.

I have put up a brief write up about the business itself at http://www.geocities.com/spvijesh/

Can someone guide me on how can find the right person/(s) to form a successful team?

Regards,

SP Vijesh

Hmm... I think the right person/(s) must be confident of your innovative International Calling card business.

To me, i feel that if the right person is confident with your business, he/she or they will sure take up all the challenge when it comes to the hard deliverables.

Find someone who is confident in your business.
But how,

He or She need to know more about you, what hav you acheive for the past 5, 10 years. Most importantly what make you confident that you are able to be a young entrepreneur of this ...............business.
You got to convince the right one so that to get the right one.

From my personal point of view.
Others might be different.
Hope i not talking rubbish.

The Marketing guy(s) wouldn't do it for free.

Are you willing to pay top dollar or just trying to invite someone to invest as a partner and work for free? If the answer is to find a stranger from within Singapore, I can guarantee you that you will find a swindler more than a partner.

Cheers!

Liewchun,

Thank you for your comment. The idea is that the person will get paid a nominal salry as he will have a stake in the concern.

I am intrigued as to to your comment that the chance of being swindled is high. Is there a reason for this? Can you please share with me more details if possible?

It is a grave concern that your natural instinct is to assume that swindling in Singapore is not possible or at least near impossible.

May I know how long have you lived or been in Singapore?

Where are you from?

The country has grown exponentially advanced despite without any natural resources. All success comes purely from the citizens. So what do you make out of the people here?

I'm not saying that you can't find a partner here, just that most citizens here think 2 to 3 steps ahead of you wherever you are from.

God Bless...
