Can anyone recommend a good place to buy slimfit shirts? Something like what the Matinique stuff Tangs Studio used to carry.

What do tailors normally charge? How are their selection of fabrics like?

I don't believe in spending more than a hundred bucks for a top so a place like Zara would probably be at the upper end of where I would shop.

I agree, given your shape, tailoring makes sense.

This is a very serious question for a very serious forum. Please take your well-directed humour somewhere else.

Ah, but if a banana had feet, the the shoe would be on the other one! :)

Definitely try a tailor - their choice of fabrics is usually quite good and they can make that 'thickening' waistline look a bit less than that. Good tailors? Hmm, I usually have my stuff done in HK or BKK, but there is one good one that has made suits for me in Far East Plaza.

Based on my experience tailors tend to be cheaper when getting away from Orchard area. I have found a good one in Queensway SC.

Tailor For a shirt ard $50 much more cheaper as i've friends who have their shirt tailor. Also they have lots of different selection of fabrics so Don't worry too much. tailor can fit it on yr body shape.

50 bucks for a tailored shirt? Sold! Makes you wonder why people even bother buying retail.

So any recommendation for tailors? Apart from Queensway Shopping Centre and Far East Plaza.

Cheers for all replies. Yes, even those from the General Discussion Krew.

Sweet! So let me get this straight: I rock up to the tailor, get measured all over, pick a fabric, wait a week or two and bam! new wardrobe? Am I missing anything?
