looking for east european food

Post by citizen deek » Fri, 14 Oct 2005 4:44 am

Hi, where can I find Eastern European restaurants in Singapore? Are there even any? Specializing in Romanian, Polish, Russian and Hungarian cuisines.

Polish flaki (soup made from chicken guts) and gołąbki (cabbage leaves filled with minced meat and rice and eaten with potatoes and tomato sauce), Pierogi, Bigos

Romanian mamaliga, sarmale, tochitura, ciorba de potroace...

Hungarian stuffed cabbage, goulash, chitterlings, fish soup....

Also, are there restaurants that specialize in American country-style cooking, like pork chops with creamed mashed potatoes, cornbread, biscuits n gravy. Oven-roasted skillets with sausage, potatoes, chili peppers, and topped off with melted cheese and a fried egg.

finally, anywhere in singapore that serves american southern food like jambalaya, crawfish, etc?

damn all this typing about food is making me hungry!
