what kind of exercise to lose weight?

i know all the slimming pills and teas and slimming centre doesn't work. :D

so what kind of exercise do i need to lose weight?

i want to lose around 10kg. ^^

i need to know waht kind works best other than running. :D

cuz my ankle is hurt and the doctor says i can't do too much vigorious exercise.

and my skipping doesn't seemed to work... cuz i don't really sweat when i skip, just panting. ^^ how many times and long do i need to skip a day?

and some other kind of exercising without buying equipment would be great. i'm a student and is really tight on budget. >_<

Hi

There are actually certain exercises which you can do it at home.
Such as crutches and sit-ups. For a start you may do it 50 times per day? As time passes, you should increase the number of times you do per day to 100 then 150....

Those are for body tonning...to really lose weight...one must be cardio exercises like swimming..cycling...jogging...etc..always listen to your body..if you don feel good after workout..lessen the intensity then slowly increase it..

well i can't swim cuz of my ankle injury...

i always tht swimming has the less strain on the body?..

errr...i not so sure abt that if it's not..u wan to check with your doc?..see wad advice he/she give.

Hi foxhana,

There isn't much workout you can do to lose weight, as you are building muscle, which weighs more than fat. Try this: go on the GI diet (really effective), and take long walks (4K minimum). :D

and long walks... i've thought about that... and i sometimes walk home instead of taking the bus. ^^

but u hv ankle injury, is it ok for u to do skipping..??

I used to skip 1000 times a day... starting few hundreds i also feel nothing.. but if u skip non-stop till 1000.. at the end of it.. u can really feel it burning... hope it helps u... =)

n diet helps alot also! if u can stay away frm those delicious food. =)

i think u haf to exercise to a point where your heartbeat is faster..
if i am not wrong..u only start to burn fat after 20 min of exercise

i do skipping as well...coz i dun like outdoor sports.
and i can skip while i watch tv...

usually i will skip abt 45 min per day..u dun really haf to skip fast..just normal pace but consistent...

yeah... i don't like outdoor exercises too... that's why i opt for skipping.. or those that can be done at home. :D

i don' skip continuously... i skip for like 5 or 10 minutes then stop a while... then skip again. cuz my stamina dropped alot after i hurt my ankle. >_<

hmm... sweat means the fats are burning right? ^^

would it help me sweat faster to wear and sweater and skip? sweat faster like tt... haha

and can i drink water in the middle of the skipping if i feel i'm gonna faint from dehydration? or do i have to drink before i start skipping? :D

When do u aim to lose that 10kg..??

I lost 10kg for past mths.. almost 1yr .. stable.. no rebouncing..
But done lots of things..

sweat doesn't necessary mean burn fat..

it's just water...that's explain why u haf to exercise at least 20 minutes before yr body start to burn fat..(i think so, if not pls correct me)

u can try wear thicker clothings..but once after exercise u drink water, u still put on the weight..

people say sauna burn fats..but to me i feel that it's water..
