Sigh . . . If it's not Sapphire, now it's CD . . . Woe is me . . .

And actually, she was/is the perfect monster - as only Shelley could have bettered her.

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

my guess is the author of Frankenstein, Mary Shelley. though she originally published under a male pseudonym cos women writers were looked down on in those days.

When an old company I used to work for released a new Software product, they named it Ramp Software. Everyone thought that was pretty cool, except for those of us based in Holland where ramp means disaster . . .

Mitsubishi Pajero is a no-go in Spanish-speaking ountries where Pajero is slang for wanker . . .

'Hey, there goes the wanker driving his wanker-mobile' Not good for sales . . .
How could you forget the classic of all marketing blunders? The chevy Nova in Mexico. No va. Priceless.

Haven't you ever seen that thing driving around Singapore, I think Toyota makes it, the Enima?

The kids and I have only ever called it the Enima. I mean, for goodness sakes. You don't even have to look for that joke.
When you go in for a job interview, I think a good thing to ask is if they ever press charges.

Oh CD. Vaucluse is my knight in shining armor, my sparring partner. No need to shut the door. But thanks for being a gentlemen. How very Charles Boyer of you. :)
