Price or environment?
Price or environment?
I have caught on the gym bug and im tempted to get a gym membership. As im a newbie in this,i have been round to gyms in Singapore. Fitness First has a swimming pool which i dun really need but the facilities are nice. California Fitness is slightly loud for my liking. Have not been to True Yoga & Planet Fitness. What is the amount i should pay for a membership? Some of my colleagues told me that they regret joining some gyms cos it was always overcrowded and with minimal services available. They bought it because it's cheap. Im just curious cos almost every colleagues or friends that i came across would name price as the 1st priority. Is that true? Someone please advice me.
Smart Living - Never think of Health and Fitness as expensive. When we are young, we neglect our health and work hard for money. But when we are old, we have to spend all
our hard earned money to restore our health.

Most gyms would offer per entrance admittance. You might want to go in and try out its facilities and have a feel whether you like the environment before you commit to a membership.
The gyms are relatively hard-driving when it comes to gym membership, so don't rush, they are aplenty to choose from.

Hi ..
basically are u keen on the gym equipments/machines.. or the aerobics classes.. ?
Basically if for me, i consider the following factors:
(1) Location - must be of convenient.. otherwise i will prob be too lazy to purposely go there..
(2) Classes held - i am aerobic person.. so i see what kind of classes they offered and their schedules.. ensure that the classes i want to join dun clash with my own appointments..
(3) Services/facilities - towels, locker, gym equipments (if u r more for the gym equipment workout), bathing place, sauna, steambath ..etc After a taxing workout, i will to immerse myself with sauna and long bath..
(4) $$ - i dun believe in paying like thousands or hundreds of dollars.. I think $50-$100 is reasonable.. (depending on ur usage too). Otherwise, some community centre also have gym facilities at very affordable price.
Be careful of contracts that may bind u ..
(5) Good feeling - sometimes u can feel if u like being there.. If the place does not motivate u .. or makes u feel uncomfortable, or suffocated.. i guess trust ur feeling..
(6) Time/Committment - if i want to pay for something ex, i make sure i got the time and r committed to maximize the usage of it.. Otherwise i will jsut be throwing my $ into the drain..
In the end, u just have to make the decision.. If it is a wrong decision, just learn from it. This is a part of self-knowing and part of our life journey!
My 2cents input .. hope it helps
Have fun!
