i'm planning to sell my laptop....could anyone let me know where can i get the best deal to sell it?

Put it up on all of the following:

www.ebay.com.sg
www.interauct.com.sg
www.singbid.com

Yahoo also has a classifieds / auction engine; not sure what the URL is (don't use it personally).

Remember to put in a picture of the notebook (doesn't have to be in its present condition - the ideal is a picture from the manufacturer's site, shot by a professional) and all necessary specs.

it's acer (travel mate 290 series, and the model number is CLS1)...and i have been using it for 2 years...

Well, hardwarezone has the stupidest system ever; it detects that my IP address is not local Singaporean and hence banned me from replying to ANY ad. I'm here alright. Just the IP block belongs to this *MNC*?!

actually...i'm asking for S$1000....and it's still negotiable.. lolz... btw,anyone know how to back-up my important program?cos some of the program i have in my computer,i lost the cd-instalation....

You can try to list it down in the classifed section of singaporeexpat and also in the auction of ebay/singapore and yahoo/singapore as adviced by the other members. you can set a reserverd price if you have a minimum price in mind.

For the backup, if u want a directory backup just copy all the files with help of the DVD - writer as a DATA backup or if that is only driver you can download it from the Acer's website anytime.

For info, with the spec of your laptop the asking price can be from 750s$ above
