Pilates Questionaire

Post by babyface » Thu, 15 Jul 2004 8:21 pm

Hi all,

I am currently taking a instructor course in Pilates in UK and would like to start teaching Pilates in Singapore in September.
I would like to teach absolute beginners either privately or in a group class at my own premises rather than to have a class in a gym.

I would like to have some feedback from the forum or comments you might have.
These are some of the questions I have:

1. Where do you think would be the best area to start a studio ? Holland, Orchard or East coast ?
2. Would you prefer to go to studio in a building or at a home?
3. Would you prefer to have group classes or privately? If private, would you prefer to go a place or have it at your home?
4. what is your current impression of the standard of pilates that are taught here in Singapore?

Thank you.

Hi Miss Pilates,

Sounds very interesting - I just moved to Singapore, live in the Buggis area - but since I am new to both Singapore & Pilates, I do not know where it would be best - or how the quality are.
But i do know that I like to try Pilates, if you are fair priced?? Let me know when and where you decide.

Hi ya,
thanks for your interest and your reply.
Do you want private lessons or to join a group for mat class?

Private lessons are of course more expensive, but I do recommend that you may want to take a few private lessons initially to learn the basics. After that, you can either decide to continue or to join others in mat classes.

I am coming back from UK to Singapore next week and will contact you then. Thanks.
