Do we have a daily quota??

Postby Bubbles » Fri, 16 Sep 2005 9:05 pm

Hi All

Tried to upload a pic but message said I'd reached my upload quota.

Does this mean we have a daily limit to how many pics we send, or does it just mean that my pic is just too big?

By the way, how do I get a pic to fit on profile from normal sized shots? It says it can't be more than 10KB...and I've tried making normal shots smaller but then it gets ridiculous and they're the size of a pin head, with no definition.

Excuse this technophobe. Ta.

On the pic's uploading, I use Imageshack.

http://www.imageshack.us/

No need to register or pay, just upload unlimited for free.

So go to their site as given, make sure all the pics you have are on your harddisk of your pc / mac and then just upload pic by pic, no limits. For the small pics on the forum, choose the 'thumbnails for forums (1)', for bigger pics, use 'hotlinks for forums (1)'.

If you see the bar below the pic, remove it by clicking on 'no bar'.

Hope it works for you as it does for me and some others here!

Eric

Thanks Eric, and I have just used it to stick this pic of me on here.

It's quite easy to use and that's saying something, coming from a dumb dumb in all things IT or new, like me.

Thanks
Bubbs.

Why you think I can use it myself...

Wow bubbs, you are really pushing it here, aren't you. My god, what a pic....

Forget what I said about me being into Asian women... :)

Glad I could help you here! :D

Hey Bubbs,
Very nice picture. Eric tutored me through the photo posting process as well. I can endorse it fully works great.

You have a maximum amount of space to upload to this board's servers, using the attachment box below the "post a reply" box.

If you host your pictures on another server as Eric has mentioned, then you click the "Img" tag above the "post reply" box, enter the complete URL of the photo, and click the "Img" tag again. You get a line in your post that looks like (I spelled "Img" wrong so that it does not actually display)

PS: Nice photo - do you think you could ever love a furry simian such as myself?

God, look at the time, it's 12.45 here, night time....and I'm back from the pub.......must have my expat forum fix....anyway.....

Beenheretenyears........would you believe I've just gone out into the garden........blinking chilly here, full moon......and put bread out on the lawn earlier..........there's me, digital camera in hand, and no hedgehogs to be seen.

(How to you call a hedgehog? For a cat it's puss puss, dog is here boy, horse is coop coop....but a h/hog?.....suggestions on a postcard please.......)

I'll never live this down, the neighbours already think I'm daft now they'll think I'm a crazy green type person, midnight hedgehog feeding....
