Qualified nanny/governess

Post by aussiemeg » Fri, 16 Sep 2005 9:01 pm

hi there.

I am having twins in a little over 5 weeks and wanted to get a nanny to help me with them from say mid november. I would like her to work from 10 to 5 5 days per week solely with the children (no cleaning) and I would like her to be early childcare qualified. Anyone got any idea where I could find such a person?

Cheers
Megan

For what you are looking for I think you should check out the nanny/Au Pair agencies at home. These girls do foreign exchange programs all the time. You'll need exceptionally good communication skills and I think someone who, quite literally, speaks your language would make you life much easier. Good luck!
When you go in for a job interview, I think a good thing to ask is if they ever press charges.

AussieMeg,

If you find a nanny, could you post back here or PM me. I would be really interested to hear your experiences, the logistics of hiring someone to do this (and whether they live in), and the costs involved.

Cheers,
k1w1 :)
