If your doggie does this to your gal during a romantic stroll,

what would you say to defuse the situation?

Are you talking to me? If so, for one I'm not pretty, and two, what you see as a dirty mind is just my twisted sense of humour.

And, what's so wrong with a dirty mind? :P

Coming back to the topic, you shouldn't be embarassed about your dog at all. I think its known to all intelligent human beings that a dog in heat will do that!

You mean that's not you on the couch there??? That lady looks real foxy. Although I'd love to hear what it is you're telling us. Unless that's an airkiss, yowza!

Jah, it's said that dogs' love-lives are ruled my pheromones; could be some other dog of the female persuasion, a.k.a. a "bitch", left some of her scent on that particular lucky leg, which this frisky little basket simply couldn't resist.

Either way, I beg to differ with you, it'd be pretty embarrassing if that were to happen while on a stroll with your bf/gf.

And, my avatar isn't saying a thing, just blowing out smoke. Get it? Got it? Good!

Back to the dog issue, I find it funny, you think its embrassing, lets agree to disagree, shall we?

The picture is a 'posed' one and not real 'humping' which is being discussed. When humping usually the dogs elbows are bent and there's definitely a stronger gripping action. Also the animal would most probably not be focusing at the camera.

Mounting behaviors occur due to sexual hormone influences, dominance
behavior, anxiety, and sometimes as a sort of obsessive/compulsive disorder. It's not fully undestood. Some young puppies, females included display mounting behaviour.

Seriously, to discourage the behaviour, the person who's being mounted should immediately shake loose the dog. If the dog persist a collar jerk or a 'scruff shake' is in order.
Is your dog driving you nuts #&*@~&#!*???

Ok.

And since we're doing all this agreeing, let's also agree that you're the third girl in this clip:
