Does anyone have any idea which floor you have to live in a
condo in order to not have them reside with you?

Come on, what's wrong with geckos?
I find them quite nice and friendly. I noticed that they have their own territory in my apartment. The bigger one is always in the kitchen, while the smaller one is hiding next to my computer...
And if you didn't have them, you would have more ants for sure!
So what's wrong with them?

Simple ... just move to a different apartment and don't tell them where you've gone. Or just change the locks.
(A little more) seriously, they can get to any floor.
Good luck

The tropics without geckos . . . Sorry, lpark, but you will have to live with them - do they really bother you that much?

Geckos are cute! And they do take care of insecy problems, like CD said.
I'd be more worried about flying roaches.....

Had a roach fly toward me once... I would rather have geckos anyday.... and I mean anyday. Besides, they are so darn cute (except for the poop they leave behind)!

I love the little guys too but have found dead ones in:
my toaster
my diswasher after the washing and drying cycle
frozen in the freezer
smushed in door jams
it's like my house is the 7th circle of gecko hell

When you go in for a job interview, I think a good thing to ask is if they ever press charges.

I've had a gecko trapped in my fridge once....freaked me out so much I peeled it off the shelf it was on and placed it on the windowsill in the kitchen. My phone rang so I left its 'last rites' for later (ceremoniously being dumped in the garbage). However, when I got back, the little fella was soaking up the sunshine with his mouth wide open like he was trying to breathe in more warm air!

Completely in awe, I left him there and 20 minutes later he scuttled off to find lunch.
Amazingly hardy little things.....

One day I got two stupid ones trapped at the same time in the coffee machine. Not very tasty though.

Yeah I think they are really cute too
Totally harmless. They do give you a bit of a fright when you see them scoot across the floor or wall out of the corner of your eye.
But they are much better housemates than those big bloody roaches!

We had one in my classroom get stuck on some double sided sticky tape. One of the boys pulled it off, couple of girls screamed, but unfortunately a foot stayed stuck. It still ran away under my desk. Found it later but didn't tell the children that it was dead. Also had one stuck in the door jam with blood & guts everywhere!

They are cute!

So far, sandwiched one in the door hinges (deceased), fried one in the microwave wiring (both gecko and microwave deceased), shorted out the a/c condenser unit (think that one was a goner too)and had one leap out of the hot oven when I opened the door to check on a casserole (slightly browned but still capable of a flying leap). Maybe you just need more electrical appliances.....
