Craft supplies???

Post by jinkel » Mon, 05 Sep 2005 4:59 pm

 Hi, all!

As usual, I've come begging for info!

I'm trying to find craft supplies for projects with my 3 yr old. Looking for the following:

- crayons (washable) - Crayola brand?
- markers (washable) - Crayola brand?
- colored pencils
- thin foam shapes (to be glued to paper, etc.)
- googly eyes
- Elmer's Glue (white liquid glue)
- etc.etc.

If anyone knows places where I can acquire any of these items, please let me know! And of course, if you have better/additional suggestions, I'm all ears.....

Not sure if they have everything on your list, but Art Friend at Bras Basah Complex has tons of craft supplies. Some is too sophisticated for a 3 year old, but they carry a lot of Crayola brand items, its worth a look.

FYI -- It is almost impossible to find construction paper here and Mr. Sketch markers are very expensive, these are always in my home-leave luggage. Consider starting your list now...

There is usually a great big Popular there as well, but alas it is being renovated. They have craft items as well. I say avoid Spotlight at all costs, the staff is enerally unknowledgable and rude, and the place always looks like a typhoon blew through it. Good luck Jinkel.

When you go in for a job interview, I think a good thing to ask is if they ever press charges.

I second Bras Basah!

Was there today actually. Art Friends is great and there is so many more little "hole in the wall" shops that have everything. Big flip chart pads (the huge ones) where kids can actually lay down on the paper and draw to their hearts content.

My teenage kids love it there for art & craft supplies.
