Hi all

I'm advertising to hire a dancer from London/the UK and I'd like to know what are the good newspapers to advertise with.

What kind of dancer? Ballet, Modern, Exotic???

Try The Spotlight, it's the magazine for Equity Actors, Dancers and Performers.

In fact, I'm looking to advertise in the right newspapers and magazines- Daily Express, Daily Mirror, Daily Star, or the Guardian, etc. I'm just trying to make sure that I'll be advertising in the right publication with the right kind of readership. Not too corporate or business, or yellow journalisms(but hey, maybe that could work too, but I don't really know).

The Guardian would certainly be a good choice, however to reach all social class levels, you would also have to include the others you mention

Hi

It's true, you should advertise in a variety of papers. However, unless you are aiming to pay a spectacular amount on your advertizing budget then I'd concentrate on the free newspapers they give out in town (London)

Most of the artistic dancers live there as it's difficult to get to auditions etc unless you do, so the chances will be that you'll have more luck than say in Cardiff, or Bristol.........

However if you advertize in 'The Stage' you'll get hundreds of replies.
