growing plants in humid singapore

hi all !
we are moving to an apartment and was wondering what kind of plants would be suitable and more so, what kind of plants/ herbs would thrive in such humid weather.
let us know what your grow. wold be great to have a little herb garden growing in our kitchen balcony.
