Hair relaxer for "black" Hair

Post by New Expat to area » Mon, 29 Aug 2005 9:38 am

Hi All,

I'm moving to Singapore in 2 weeks and wondered if anyone has had any luck with hair salons? I need someone who knows how to "relax" black hair.

Thanx for the help,

Immortal

G'day

Hope you have a safe trip here. I've had my hair relaxed/rebonded and all sorts done to it to get it straight. I've got very strong and stubborn curls being of Asian decent and all. So far, I've been well pleased with 'Soft Straight'. It's a hair straightening procedure that cares for the hair cuticles and maintains it's look until you need a root touch up. The chemicals used aren't as harsh as Rebonding or Relaxing. The shop I go to is called Super Cuts and there are a few branches in town. The one I go to is in Compass Point, in Sengkang. Here's their number. Call them for other branch outlets near to you. 6881 0550 and at Far East Plaza 6737 3232. Speak to the hair stylists, make sure you ask for a sytlist as they're the ones who know how to treat your hair specifically. Good luck and I hope it works out well for you. Be careful of where you go as there are lots of places claiming they can straighten hair but will in fact ruin it. I once had melted patches of hair matted on my scalp and it hurts.

Good luck and ask them as many questions as you want. It's your hair and your money!

Cheers
Immortal
