Big waist size

Can anyone suggest stores that sell chinos or cotton trousers with waist sizes of 38'' to 40''? I want Ralph Lauren type or Gap, not fussed, just want to know where I can find them, or stock up before I leave the UK.

I believe there are larger sizes in department stores and they dostock chinos etc . . . Not sure about the price differential, but it shouldn't be too large either way.
