The Cliff, Sentosa Resort & Spa
Has anyone been there and how do you rate the food and service?
Planning for a cosy dinner for 4 in Sept.

Thx!

Hi Buck,

I have eaten there on a couple of occasions. I like the place, as it combines excellent service and food with a kind of informal, yet upscale ambience. Most of the upscale restaurants here in Singapore (and abroad) tend to get quite snobbish and arrogant when serving for the upper class, not here. Friendly service, they do listen when you have questions, they are knowledgeable about what is served and how it is prepared, the views are just magnificent, to me one of the best places for a cosy dinner in a quiet and distinguished ambience. And innovative dishes.

The only "but" is the price.... But it is worth every dollar you pay.

I'd say, go for it!

Thanks Eric for your input.

A friend of mine is having her wedding dinner there as well. Her concern is that they have been allocated to a table near the kitchen. Any idea if it's an open concept kitchen? As noise and smell from the kitchen may have to be taken into consideration.

Thx!

Hi Buck,

yes, it is an open kitchen concept, like in a square. There is a 'double' layer of tables right at the balcony with perfect seaview, then there is a platform slightly higher, between the kitchen and the balcony, still with magnificent views of the sea, then there is tables located all around the open kitchen. There is definitely no smell of this kitchen around, not at all, no worries. The tables around the kitchen though do have a pool view, rather than the seaview. But all is nice over there, tastefully decorated, the ambience of the resort alike.

Enjoy!

Hi there,

The Cliff is definately a plcae to have a nice, quiet dinner to have a good conversation with someone special. it may be a bit pricey but it is worth the trip. price range is about $70 per person..do remember to make a reservation. Their last order is 11pm, i think. Try their foie gras and Chocolate Fondue.

The Cliff is great place and the tables by the pool are as good as any other. Its better to go early when there is still daylight and have a drink at the bar first. Expensive but you will probably feel that you got what you paid for.
