1. sticking "lah" at the end of any old sentence does NOT make it singlish.
2. we do not actually WRITE the "lah". it is spoken.
3. the correct colloquialism for questions is "ah?" eg "who inspired you ah?"
4. the "lah" is used to
a) emphasise a statement eg "don't be stupid LAH!"
b) provide a cadence to an otherwise low-key statement "ok lah"
anyway, we do appreciate your attempts to speak our lingo. you expat people are the best LAH!
