I'm thinking of buying a condo unit in central Singpore. Got any advice on buying in Maplewoods (Bukit Timah Rd)?

maybe you would like to let us know how many rooms you need, how big an area you want, what facilities, how long is the journey to the city, how much are you prepared to pay, etc. your question is only to maple trees, so have you decided on maple trees and just want suggestions, or are you open to suggestions to other places?

umm, Maplewoods isn't that central. It is a helluva ride from the city by bus or car especially during the rush hour, and that's the ONLY way you're gonna get home as there aren't any MRT stations nearby.

Why don't you try places that are truly central like Newton and Novena, where there are 2 MRT stations. Orchard is one train stop away, and there are loads of amenities (2 Cold Storage supermarkets, shopping, bookstores, restaurants, loads of bars/pubs) around the hood. Prices here generally aren't as high as the condos in Orchard and there are some older condos here that will cost you about the same price as Maplewoods... so for the same price why not consider a location that's closer to town?

Hope this helps.
