It may not be impossible but it will be tough.
Read these two MOM publications about work permits and foreign workers.
http://www.mom.gov.sg/NR/rdonlyres/3714 ... 8Apr05.pdf
http://www.mom.gov.sg/NR/rdonlyres/6F8D ... 6Jul04.pdf
What you need to find out is if your country of residence can be included as OK for people seeking work permits. Then you will have to find a company willing to file and application to employ you and apply for a work permit. The employer must post a $5,000 bond and pay a yearly levey to have you work here. You might increase your odds if you were to pay the fees that the employer pays.
Your starting point is to contact MOM and find out if you can even qualify for a work permit. Check out:
http://www.mom.gov.sg/ContactUs/

I have been hanging about this forum for a bit and been following links on African Expats in Singapore and apart from the occassional connection being made most of the refs have been unhelpful, so far as locating fellow Expats from Africa.
For example I visited race course road and found that most Africans hanging out around there are visiting for a couple of days.
Could someone tell me whether there is a thriving body of expatriate africans around here?
Elseif we must start one, how about starting a football team? lol would we do well.
Thanks

Hum what a coincidence. I am from .zw myself. I think the football team (even a five a side thing) is worth a try. I am especially keen that it be for Expats. I have heard a couple of embarassing stories about fly by night africans in this small place- the stink is just unbearable- some stuff about a team from Senegal.
Anyway, I have a friend who could help organise matches for a team if it is set up. Talk to your mates and see if they are interested. It looks like we have at least 4 players then...
Private message me if you feel comfortable and the rest are the details.
Thanks Sud Afrika

Anyone knows when will Singapore allow foreigners? Understand it will only be transit in June.

And it will depend on where you are coming from. I wouldn't expect the borders to open to all countries initially.

I had a job offer in Singapore but due to covid i am stuck. Does anyone know roughly when will most countries ease up?

Depends where you are comin from.
Countries with rising daily infections like India will find it harder.
