The content was the same as someone else posted. But I didn't take note of the date of the interview!

Hey guys, I went to flip the newspaper again... the interview is 18th September 9.30am to 4pm at the Furama Riverfront Hotel which means it's this Saturday! :)

Well, all the best to all who wanna try it out! What's attractive to me in their ad is the opportunity to relocate and the opportunity to become leaders in the organization.

4 years since I was NEARLY with Tiger

Post by desijoey » Wed, 06 Oct 2010 3:05 pm

Hi hi!

Wow 4 years have flown by just like that! I was nearly with Tiger back in 2006. I saw Tiger's advert in the papers this morning and am kinda tempted to try out again this Saturday. However I'm already 27 this yr so am not sure if they will still accept me even though I do not look my age. Also, the 5k bond is applicable still? There's no leeway at all if the party does not have this amount to put down? What I'm more concerned is if there have been any improvements in the airlines over the past few years?Coz I see them in the papers quite often and they seem to be doing well.

Thanks to any info all u gd ppl can provide!:)

The toughest will be the selection in the open day. They will usually pick those who look presentable.

They used to have an age limit as in the presentation. It used to be 28. But after they absorbed ex-crew from SIA, they accept 'new' crew who are above 28. No age limit at the moment.

There will be a need to make a Time Deposit in a bank, and that will be your bond. If you leave the company, then bye-bye to your deposit.

They need a lot of new crew, as in a lot!!! They will be expanding very soon, and get rid of those old crew who didn't perform well. IF they don't meet the required number of new recruits, they usually hire from Malaysia (Mandarin speaking), China, and Korea.

The safety training, (Safety and Equipment Procedures Training), is very important, you cannot afford to fail it. It's the only way to get your cabin crew licence. Anyway, if you don't understand how to operate things in the plane, you really don't fit in to the job.

The environment? It's quite nice. Nice bunch of people! Roster? Very relaxed!

I think the main obstacle would be the 5K bond... I have to pay that amount as a bond??? The job should suits me well because I love traveling and also customer service... Sigh! Seems I have to give it a miss then... Where can I find 5000 ??? Kinda strange requirement...

Question:

I suppose to have an interview today but I can't make it because they only notify me last friday. But It was stated in their email that I can do rescheduling if I can't make it for todays interview however when i called them they told me to email them on my available dates and they will email me with the slot available.

You think they will still reschedule my interview?

I wanna give it a try :-|

what are the chances if they let you try their uniform on the interview? But they never get your educational certificates like the others? coz mine was, they let me try their uniforms but then they never get my certicates just like the others. worried :???:
