Hey guys,
i went to today's interview. Its not exactly like a interview.. More of a introduction into the airline, what to expect in airline service and as a service crew. The introduction presentation is made by SASS staff.. Nv paid attention to the basic but the rough is abt $12.50 p/hr + basic. The average take home amt estimated is abt $1525 - $2xxx depending on the sales commision and hours you clocked. The training of staff will be given by SASS using SIA facilities. 6 weeks of training. But theres something of a $5000 bank gurantee between u n them when you sign up with them. You will lose the $5000 bond if you decided to leave before the 2yrs. The 2yrs will be counted as 'internship', so you will only be entitled for some of the staff benefit. Not all. From what i heard its 25days annual leave (14 medical + 11 public holiday). Theres also another entitlement about being able to bring up to 6 friends or family member on flight (not sure how that works). But the down part is you will still be on standby for duties. Thats about it.
Oh ya. According to the lady today, tiger airways uniform changed. I have no idea how it looked like. And, actual 1st interview is 16th august. And then another round 19th august. I've been short listed for the 16th one. =DD they called me a few hours after the walk in 'talk'.

Hey, for those interested in Tiger, I saw Tiger Airways' advertisment in today's ST recruit section!
Btw, starliteray, I think that you can just explain to ur bf about ur dream to be a cc. My bf used to object but I managed to get his support by telling him since I support his dreams, he should support mine despite his prejudices against this job.

SQ to hire 2000 more cabin crew
I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.
