yap there's no layover unless something happens to the aircraft, bad weather or pilots run out of flight time......salary really depends on individuals....basic (FA$800+) + commission + flight allowance....SFAs get a bit more

thats right, tiger got no layovers, all are turnaround flights.. AOG (aircraft on ground) only happens like what you've mentioned, but hardly..

Salary is low, during my time, basic was $800, not sure if they revise the amount or not.. flight allowance is $12 for flight shorter than 3 hours e.g. bangkok / $20 for flights more than 3 hours e.g. shenzhen
this is base on per sector, which also means, if you have flight to bangkok today, SIN-BKK-SIN, you will get $24 sector allowance, with the commission, depends on how much food / duty free items sold on the flight. Total sales are shared among the crews, each get 3% or 5%, i can't remember though.
For SIN-SZX-SIN, the sector allowance will be $40, and if you have 4 sectors flight like SIN-BKK-SIN, SIN-HKT-SIN, it will be $48 sector allowance.. But, 4 sectors flight can be very tiring.. Take home salary (after CPF deduction), hardly reach 2k for a normal crew..

For the bond, i was recruited under TR, so it was only a year, if i'm not wrong, $4k? But 2 of my friends in Batch 12, they were employed outsource, so they got 3 years bond, $12k or something.. And they got to pay a little upfront just in case you break the bond, there's an amount with them already.

Hope all these helps.. :D

i just went for the tiger airways interview on mon 26th. (anyone happen to be there too?)

anyway, my interview procedure went like this:

- Go into office, fill up appln form and silently read some flight announcements in English and your mother tongue.
- They'll bring u into another office and sit down and talk to u... there are 3 candidates (incl. me) and 2 interviewers. u have to do a short self intro, plus read the announcement loud and clear in front of all. they'll also check ur height. im 1.65m, and if ure around there, u're safe. then they'll ask questions according to your employment history and resume. be prepared to answer questions like why you left your last employment, what were u doing in your last job, and a few scenario questions. No singlish at all times.
- They'll explain the following:
1) Salary structure - $836 (basic) + $6.25 (allowance) + 5% commission
2) 25 days of annual leave (incl. public hols)
3) Bond - 3 years, if break bond - $3k (no need deposit)
4) training - 6 weeks (salary $300/- only), and be prepared for night trainings.
*cant remember what else though.

- They'll tell u to go home to wait for news by the end of the week but I already received an email yesterday telling me im in and I am required to go for a med check up. if med check is fine then im in. :D
I love the rain.

Hie all, anyone happens to be the same badge as me the 23 badge? training will start 16th nov 09. To chingchonggiirl our interview date was the same on the 26th of october but i guess we are on a different timing.Just wanna share,my group interview that time, there was 7 applicants all together. There were 2 interviewer both ex SQ.Out of 7 applicants 3 were experienced ones from other airlines and 4 including me were the inexperienced ones. The interview went very smoothly and everything was random. We were like laughing and joking around with the interviewer as if we already known them for so long. All were so enthusiastic and jovial. It took me 2 hours inside the interview room.I was selected as they give me an email the day after and i need to go for pre employment medical checkup first.Although yes the pay is damn pathetic low but i don't really concern about the pay,i take this as an experience and as a stepping stone. So its easier for me to get to other airline in the future..Planning to try SQ after sometime with tiger.

yea ShashAmor I went in the afternoon at 4pm. I just went for my pre employment check up and they said my ears weren't that good so I have no idea if Im still in. Hopefully everything's good. TR did called me up to ask if I could start on 16th, and I said I couldnt so they scheduled me on to start on 23rd instead. Hmmm, means I cant see u! ):

To D**** and R****** who PM-ed me, so sorry I cant reply cuz im new here. Anyway, TR is hiring all year round so just deposit your resume with them and they'll get back to you for an interview.

For me, if everything's well, im starting on 23rd.

And well, I just deposited my resume with them. and because of the high volume of applications they have, they only call up those that are shortlisted. Basically you need to have a bit of service experience, if not, they will throw you scenario questions. If you have no clue on how to answer, they wont consider you anymore. For me, I had service experience, so they didnt ask me much. They kept throwing the other two candidates questions (cuz they have no exp) but they cant really answer so they didnt get in. ):
I love the rain.
