Have you heard of panty hose?
yeahh like JAL doesnt have swimming/water confidence test.

other than panty hose, you can try sally hansen waterproof airbrush for legs too.

no problem! another SIA stewardess in training posted on the SIA thread that she used it to cover her scar(don`t know what sort of scar) for the skin checks. it`s waterproof so don`t worry if you needa use it in water. it`s cheap too! about $20+, you can get it at watsons and guardian and all that. comes in different skin tones too!

The best would be to put on a pair of panty hose, instead of spraying your legs. Even if you were to do both, I'd highly recommend not to coz the spray will stain your panty hose. Panty hose makes you look more professional, unless you decided on wearing pants. Wear those that match your skin color. No black ones please. If you're going for any swimming test, the Sally Hansen spray is highly recommended. It costs about $26. I got mine at Watsons.

No, I only start training next week. But during safety training, sure to jump from the aircraft mock-up at some point! Can don life-vest for those who can't swim, yes...your scar prominent or not? All depends lah. I understand that the batch 11 comprises of only 3 ladies, the rest are guys. So perhaps for the time being, they are looking to recruit some guys! Take care...

I believe Tiger Airways have their SEP training at STC as well. During my SEP training, we were to jump off a mock-up plane into a pool. It's fun actually. The trick is not to be scared and just have fun coz it really was fun. All were required to don on life-vest. Swimming with a life-vest is harder than swimming without it. So it really is part of the training.

Hi ladyR,
When i went for my interview, they did not conduct any body checks for scars. The swimming part will only be during your training.

Welcome batch 11!

I believe nobody knows when the next intake is. The best is to call the company yourself and enquire. Even so, I don't guarantee you'll get the answer. Even though I'm with the company, I do not know when SilkAir will be taking their next intake. This is the wrong place to ask such question so don't be surprised if nobody answers your question.
