Just some info abt tiger.
pay indeed low
no crew meal (haf to bring along own food)
no transport allowance (report as early as 6am, return flt as late as 3am)
sector allowance pathetic low
transit>> haf to do cleaning, clear cabin, pick up trash(meaning no auntie cleaner to do it)
Going to darwin is not a big deal, wont get to see the plc, oli see the airport..and at the end of it, you be so tired..
BUT if you realli wanna try for cabin crew experience, can consider la..but there is a one yr bond and if you were to leave within that period, you haf to pay a certain amount.

Hi,
That's a strong information you got there. Well, I guess I just want the experience and that's it. I wouldn't mind any inconvenience as all I want to do is to be able to serve on air in any airline. Maybe after my one year experience with tiger, I could consider to apply to other airlines. I am still young I could give it a go before it's too late.
Anyways, Just one final question: how many rounds of interview are there?
Hi Queenie,
Mine is on fri as well, 2015hrs.. can update me on hw e interview goes?? hope to c u tmr.. Best of luck..

My advice is go even if it is only for the experience and remember one thing leads to another. You could use it in an interview for a different airline at a later date. On the other hand if they accept you then you have at least 'got one foot in the door' very difficult in the airline industry. If you can put up with what you describe as lousy pay you will in time acquire experience which means you can then apply for other jobs with better chances than say a school leaver. Believe me experience can and often does count for a lot especially where people are concerned. Ultimately it is you who will have to make the decisions just hope what I have written here provides food for thought - try to expand on it. Good luck and once again use it as an opportunity.
Plavt.

hello colleen,
i just got back from the interview, I made it thou. it's very brief and fast. there's only 5 girls. but only 2 were selected. thats me and the other girl. the other 3 didn't make it. and it was totally fast. i don't know about second round thou. looks to me that i've already got the job as she said she will call me on the date to try/get the uniform and to bring the certs and documentations... it's really weird thou. she even tell me and the other girl about the pay and benefits and annual leave etc... sounds as thou i got the job or something. really fast thou.
let me know about urs tmr? but just to let you know.. they are really looking forward for young girls. there's two ladies who age is already above 23 didn't make it. even thou, one of them was an air-stewardess for brunei airlines. just go for it and smile. make sure u speak clearly.
good luck to you for tmr.....

indeed the pay is low. but if u want it for experience or to full fill your childhood dreams you could go for it. but to make things clear, they are really particular about heights. two girls came and their heights didn't meet the criteria was sent home immediately.
27? ermm.. i am not to sure about that. but please do give it a try...

Dear Queenie-me,
Congrats for making through dear! Don't think about the money 1st. Think about the experiences you can gain from these! =) You are still young and green! You can try other airlines when you finish the bond with Tiger Airways!
Good luck for the next round!
Best Regards,
Julie Tan

I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.
