I came to Tiger to seek experienced cause' I am really young
[19 years old only]. I want to explore the world of being a flight stewardess.
Even thou, the pay is not up to my expectation. I couldn't expect more from a newly set-up company. Plus it's a budget airline. But the environment is good and I like the people. I just work hard and I earned.
The least I bring home is 1.5k [which is not good, I know].
Even thou, Tiger doesn't go to many destinations but it does have a potential behind this company. It have been growing and they are recruiting more cabin crew. [Which is a good news to me].

When the first time I joined Tiger, I have a hard time to cope with the surroundings cause there's too much gossips and rumours. But I learnt to deal with it. Cause working with woman is as thou I am working with monsters.

For those who went to Tiger Airways interview, I would say it's a good opportunity for a stepping stone. Don't be stress when it comes to senior screaming at you. [Cause it's normal].
Then why did you joined LCC and fly regional and most are turarounds?
Why don't you go for SIA, Emirates, Qatar, Gulf?
oh mygoodness, you don't know don't you?
If I ever want to joined those big airlines and just to do regional and most are turnarounds, I would be damn stupid! Cause major airlines are where I could see the world and explore. What I am try to say is that I WANT TO EXPLORE THE JOB SCOPE. YOU KNOW, LIKE WHAT IS IT LIKE TO BE A CABIN CREW? WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT? In major airlines, you are more focus on exploring the world and knowing other cultures. Yeah you can say that even in major airline you can explore the job scope.
But I prefer to try from something small before going to a big major ones and then regretting it.

And you applied for SIA too. Before you join Tiger Airways. Means this is not the first airline you applied.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi,

I have a few questions to make regarding SIA steward/stewardess, I have applied my application online for this round (Hope I could make it thru...). I would like to know the following:

1) How long does it takes for them to get back to me?
2) I have a diploma in dance from RAD, understand that they are only accepting diploma from four local polytechnic. Do you think they would still accept a diploma graduate other then four local polytechnic, like me?
3) How many rounds does it take to be a confirm cabin crew?
4) How many months of training does it takes?
5) During training, am I still given allowance?
6) During the introduction interview, what are they looking for exactly?
7) I have a butt like J.LO (which means small waist line and a big butt) and I am not joking... 24 inches with a 36.5 inches, do I stand a chance to pass the kebaya testing round?

Sorry if I am asking too much question regarding the job. Thats due to my interest and career I wanted. Hope someone could help me out with this... Thank You!!!

You also said that you dont want to be working for SIA or SilkAir because you dont want to be labelled as SQ girl. Then why you apply?

hi ladies...from wat i read so far...seems like the take home pay per mth is avg 1.5k-1.8k? Juz wanna chk with u gals there's this free unlimited tics for crew wif grp of 6 frenz/relatives but muz travel together "hand-in-hand"

Have u gals who are in TG fully utilize this benefit each mth? as i tot it'd be gd to earn some extra if sell at a reasonable rate for frenz during low sales mth...?

sorry. dude. I didn't sent my resume at last. ;) my choice of words were wrong in those sentences. and plus, i got a place in Emirates that's provide I pass thru all interviewers [only one interviewer know me]. Plus, I haven't gone for Emirates interview YET. and I might want to go to Qatar. [some of my friends advice me not too]. I am still thinking. So, Tiger is still the first airline.
I hope I have make it clear this time.
And don't really know whats your problem with me? and you have lots of time by checking all the post I posted earlier.
And I didn't say anything about Silkair.
