Hello Food Lovers,

Tell me about your worst restaurant experience in Singapore? (In terms of food, customer service etc.)

Cheers

La Vela, at keppel Club.

reservation for outside at the terrace. arrived, no reservation known for outside. after waiting for 10 minutes, we were being guided to a place outside. within a few second the table was swarmed with ants, when the appetizers were served (soup only luke warm btw). made a comment, no answer, just a stare by the waiter. Went inside to tell the manager, he then served us at a table inside.

Waited for more than 45 minutes for the next dish, asking several times for it... finally we got so fed up, that we asked the owner to come and talk to us. He came, apologized a thousand times and said the kitchen was somehow without any power (remember, this is a 'quality' restaurant with quite a pricey menu)... So why not tell us on beforehand? Sorry... , he replied...

I told him we weren't in the mood for dinner there anymore and wanted to leave. Within 2 minutes a bill was presented...

Never paid, just left the place.

the restaurant's run by a different bunch now.

back then, i was...younger. now, i would have yelled the waitress' head off ;)

bro and i went there, and he spoke in english. that offended the waitress, and she said, "I hate people who don't speak our own language."
somehow he took it really well, and after she left, i said, we don't have to take this.

stood up, and walked out. free country.

don't know what happened to the ordered food.
Goatboy will always cherish his former goatgirl.
But the world is full of fluffier ones.
