social visit visa extended twice??

Post by EX » Mon, 15 Aug 2005 9:15 am

Hi! I'm currently on a social visit visa in SG. I was given 30 days visa stamp upon my arrival at the airport. I have planned to stay here for 90 days and thus applied for an extension for another 60 days at the ICA building in Lavender. However I was only granted 30 days. My question is: Would I be given another 30 days extension when I apply at the ICA the second time? Is there a rule to say that social visit pass can only be extended once? Has anyone in this forum experience similar situation - would you care to share your opinions?

Thanks for your help!

The guidelines say that you are allowed to extend your SVP upto 3 times, but how many days they give you is another question. If you are from a country that is granted 1 month upon arrival at the airport than you usually get 1 month, having said that I only managed to get 2 weeks so there's always exceptions. Good luck!
