Privatisation of DPS

Postby eladarea » Sun, 14 Aug 2005 4:16 pm

... The board has announced that DPS will be privatised on 17 Sept and that Great Eastern life and NTUC income have been appointed as DPS insurers. ... As a DPS member, you can look forward to these enhanced benefits:

Higher sum assured. The sum assured will be increased to $46,000 from $44,000 without any increase in premiium

Lower premiums. The amnnual premium for memners aged 55 and above will be reduced from $360 to $260.

Need advise. Those it was stated somewhere that there is not diff in the products, premiums and benefits under both insurers... Which would be better?

You must have received your letetr from CPF recently. My default was NTUC and I had bought some other premiums from them so I just sticked to them, unless you prefer Great Eastern. I don't see much difference between the two, since the payouts and premiums are the same..

There is no benefits. Only that I have bought premiums from NTUC it makes it easier as I have existing records.
