Personal Bank - any recomendations?

Post by enrique » Sat, 13 Aug 2005 11:08 am

Hi, Just arrived. Does anyone have any recomendations, or know of a site that has comparisions on personal banking here?
I would like to open a few accounts. A savings account, some type of investment account - ideally that lets me spread money across different risk funds (I saw HSBC have this http://www.hsbc.com.sg/sg/ibc/) and a share trading account.
I have seen one of the banks advertising their big network of ATMs (Is that really a selling factor? can you not use cards across different banks ATMs?).
Any info would be great, thanks....

if you are looking for investment accounts as well as shares trading accounts, i can help you with them. my company deals with more than 20 fund managerss and carries more than 250 funds in the house. it's also one of the best brokerage and investment firms in singapore. you can PM or email me to contact you.

for a savings account, POSB/DBS has the largest ATM network in singapore. for UOB and OCBC, the ATM can be use across network, but with charges involve. ABN, maybank, HSBC and Standardchartered, their ATM cards can be shared across networks too, but with charges as well. citibank, you can only use their ATM.

Citibank is now part of the StanChart, HSBC, Maybank network. Charges are 30 cents for using a non Stanchart ATM.
