Could anybody comment on the following apartments?

Allsworth Park - 1959sqf/SGD 3800
Ridgewood condo - 2000sqf/SGD 3500
Sommerville Park - 2200sqf/SGD 4000
Tanglin Park - 1485sqf/SGD 3500
Allsworth and Ridgewood should not cost that much, especially Ridgewood. Nor are they near a MRT.

For your budget try the Cairnhill area. This is right off of Orchard Road, the shopping district.

These places are located in the burbs with many expats. However, these apartments are quite old and do not rent for that much. With your budget of 3600, you can find almost brand new apartments with hardly used facilities. newton/novena has some almost new apartments...of course, the newer apartments tend to be smaller than the older ones...just a suggestion

WELCOME to singapore! I live in Novena and I find it hard to leave. for 3600 you should be able to get a 3bd--yet it may be hard to find a 1800 +.

dont know much about your short list as I dont drive around--dont plan to get a car either--and have only been living in novena.

i also agree that it will be easy for you to find a place dear to your heart in a couple of weeks. When I arrived I stayed in a service apt for two weeks, and found this condo i love in less than 10 days.

it is SO much easier to actually see a place and then decide which one you want. properties on paper never count as much :)

good luck

No Way! With a budget of $3.6k, you'll be better off away from Ang Mo Kio area...Bt Timah or Holland would offer better choices...it's more central for one good reason.

Cairnhill Plaza is one of the best places to get a huge apartment for a small price. How many people will there be living in the apartment? I know for a fact that there are 2300sq foot apartments going there for $3000/month. Full condo facilities, security and a 5 minute walk to orchard road and shops.

If I were you, I'd stay there. Great place.

i just stay behind Takashimaya in Orchard. it is ORCHARD PARKSUITES. the rent is S$3-5K per month. our school is just beside HMV so we take a 5min walk to school!! best place to stay as you can get every thing in Orchard Road. the downside is the NOISE & getting bored of Orchard. Good luck in your finding of your dream house!
