Where to wireless surf?

Post by Em Eye » Wed, 10 Aug 2005 8:46 pm

Where can I wireless surf in the Orchard area?

Also how do I stop people from going into my computer who are surfing near my computer? (Can this really happen or has someone pulled my leg?)

Yes it can really happen. Get yourself a personal firewall if you don't already have one. Make sure your PC username isn't your real one and don't share any folders with anyone on the network...

Lots of places, the question is, how do you surf cheap?

You can surf at many locations along orchard. The only problem is it costs an arm and a leg if you don't subscribe to a Singtel service, this would not be a problem for me if I didn't have to sign a contract.

You can buy a prepaid wireless card Singtel stores and some seven elevens. More info at sintel.com.sg These cards come in $30 and you get 100 mins. Booo!!

Does anyone know of how I can surf wireless for less? Maybe free?
