Hello Sherifa,
Yes I too underwent similar acne problems when I was younger.
My advice: Try to go to your neighbourhood polyclinic and get a referral to the National Skin Centre. Leave your problems to specialist dermatologists. :D
Good luck!

Proactiv solution. Can be purchased in watson.I was a regular(used to) at National skin centre but it didnt help at all.All they did was to ask me take antibiotics again and again.I tried facial products of many types,no odubt it cost a bomb, and i finally found proactiv to be suitable for me.Cleared my acne.I have clear skin now.U can give it a try.there's a trial pack @ 50 bucks

Hi!

I've used a zinc cream before by this brand called Brigitte Methode Kessler. It's a very dry cream (good for oily skin) that's super damn effective in drying out pimples (instead of ripening them like what other products do and causing disgusting pus) and reduces scars.

If u do some research on the net you'll find that zinc in inself is excellent in cell regeneration and furthermore this is a zinc cream. My beautician sells it and other facial salons carrying this brand should have it too.

If interested, can mail me [email protected] to find out where to get it... ;)

Hey there,

I think you're still undergoing your puberty thingy, and i think its normal. However if it gets out of hand, i think you should rely on ur hygiene and diet. However for diet, i'm nto pretty sure of what to avoid and stuff.

Some tips though:

You should wash your face, the most 2 times a day with a facial clenser (day and night). Choose a good one, and stick with it as long as possible. Try not to change your clenser within a short period of time.

Drink lots and lots of plain water. Blood runs underneath your skin too. And your skin needs ample of oxygen. Water carries oxygen. So replenish oxygen supply in your blood by drinking lots of plain water.

Don't scratch the pimples on your face. Cuz it'll cause your face to have scars and "craters". Such things you won;t wanna have. So be safe, and juz apply pimple/acne cream on it.

I think tat's all i have for now. Anyways a brand to reccommend: Clerasil. It works well on pimples. All the best =)

Acne & Acne Scars

Here's my few cents worth, visit the family doctor; they can give you some anti-biotics.

Ask for the following topical gel, Stiemycin Gel or Aknemycin Plus Solution; after 1 month, most of your acne should be gone.

When the acne is clearing up, switch to Therapeutic AHA Revitalizing Lotion MP15; after the bottle, increase to Therapeutic AHA Revitalizing Lotion MP20.

Most of your scars should look alot better. Don't attempt AHA15/20 on acne active skin; although you can, but don't. You won't like the increased redness on acne, caused by AHA. :)

if ur acne are way too serious, go for accutane.

or else, u can try antibiotics, retinA, benzoyl peroxide..etc.

i dunno abt the wash ur face 2times a day thing.. my doctor told me 2times isn't enuff if u have very oily skin. i think this depends on individuals.

i personalyl wash 3-4 times a day.
