Chico & Charlie's

Post by beenhere10years » Thu, 28 Jul 2005 7:25 pm

Was interested in the outcome of the gathering at C & C's. Was there a contingent that went recently? How was the food? The service? Was it at all similar to what it was back in the days of yore?

Would love an option for Mexican in my neighborhood. Reviews please, many thanks.

Haven't been there yet, the contingent will gather there on Aug. 19. But, here's a thread which might help you.

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

Hi beenhere10years,

I am going there for lunch tomorrow, will let you know after that. Also, would you be interested to join us otherwise on Friday the 19th? We (you and me) had our little arguments here and there, but would like it very much, if you would join us.

Salud,

Eric

Very sweet Eric, thanks. Not sure I'd be my usual wry and witty self, having just arrived back from homeleave a few days before. I'm usually chewing Exedrin PM like candy by then and forcing caffeinated beverages during daylight hours. Not a pretty picture

I can understand, no problem. Too bad, would have really wanted to meet up, but maybe just another occasion.

Went to Chicos for lunch, not bad at all. They have this appetizer with a few pieces of all different mexican snacks, which is more than enough for 2 people for a good lunch. The frozen Margaritha was very good indeed, as was the chicken corn soup.

Nice spacious place, did make me think back of Mexico itself, the good music choice did stimulate the memories.

Good quality food, great service, I am looking forward to the night out on Friday 19th august.

Wonder how you experience it beenhere10years, if you go, do let us know?

Eric

I'll give it a try and let you all know. Wondering if they had fish tacos? Did you happen to notice Eric?

As far as I remember, there were no fish tacos or burritos. But won't say it with 100% certainty.

I do know that Margaritha's mexican restaurant at east coast, corner east coast road and Telok kurau road has crab filled tacos. not sure about other fish sorts either.
