Hi!
I travel a lot around the world and know how expensive is to use a mobile in foreign country. Roaming is just killing.
I will stay in Singapore 16 days and will bring my mobile with me.
What is the possibility to buy SIM Card in Singapore and charge it with some credit cards? Is that possible? I got some information about hello!pre paid card (Singtel), M1 and Starbuh...what to do...which one is the best solution and the biggest question is: will my mobile accept that SIm card?
Thanks in advance...
Ahmed
I need help to settle down in Singapore

You need to purchase the prepaid card in advance. If you want to use your credit card you can pay with it in the store in guess. As far as I know it is not possible to recharge using only your credit card. You will have to buy a new prepaid card instead.
Impossible is nothing!

a quadband phone is usable in singapore. hence, a simcard purchased there is usable by that phone.

i just got a singtel # for $15, which lasts for 6 months. hence, if really used for emergencies, it's only $36 a freaking year?!

what are the choices of mobile phone in Singapore ? Who has the best package ? I will be moving to Singapore soon and will need to terminate the phone in Europe pretty soon. Was thinking of keeping the phone with me here and just get a sim card. Where can i find those information ? TQ

There're 3 main service providers here, with different packages (each) and you can check which one suits your needs best:
www.singtel.com
www.m1.com.sg
www.starhub.com
You can check these forums if you like to see some discussions on the service quality:
