no need to call mom, they will not answer your questions. they will just tell you it is subjected to approval. you need your income tax, your company letter stating your salary, yours and her education certificates.

Unless the rules have changed only one, not both, of you has to be and stay in SG 15 days prior to the wedding. Read the ROM site, it is all explained there.
Can she get an SVP on arrival, or does she need to go to the embassy in her home country and apply for one? Look at the requirements listed on the ICA site.

I don't think I've ever seen a person told categorically and repeatedly as you have been that they have no chance, and yet you still have hope.
I'd like to say I admire your spirit, but I fear you are simply closing your ears to what you do not want to hear instead.

Hi JR8,
Yes I know my chances there, MoM is 1 hard round to pass, I believe ICA will be my next hurdle which I'd need to pass, which is why I am in concerned now. I just want a better future for my child meaning education and environment hence I want to try at least. every man, every parent surely wants a good future for their child in the future right?

Do u understand the 15days rule?
She or u need to be present in spore for 15days before filing notice of marriage.. It means, u can register at the rom kiosk if she's away from spore, but she or u need to be in spore for 15days before filing notice of marriage.. Filing notice lf marriage means (something like verifying all the documents n so on).. Not 15days before solemnization date..
Correct me if im wrong here brothers..

one quick question was wondering if contract jobs meeting the criteria in terms of salary would be eligible to apply for LTVP? as I have been offered a contract job for 1 year and based on performance to see if i can be converted into a perm staff after that, starting pay would be 2.9k which is enough to cover the criteria but i was wondering if contract jobs are eligible it

Dear all,
i'm a Singaporean and would be getting married with my other halve who is a PRC holding WP and been working in SG for the past 6yrs.
i understand that i would have to get permission from the controller of WP before i'm able to register my marriage.
now the question is, how should i go about to seek permisson/approval from the controller?
i had tried calling MOM countless times and the lines are all busy, i tried searching the website of MOM and cant find any result too.
appreciate you guys input and advise greatly.
if possible, kindly provide the link.

There is a form that WP holder must file, not you, something like application for permission to marry, form is to be collected in person, probably one of few forms that SG government doesn't make available online.

Hope someone can help me in this.
I am married to a Singapore citizen. I was holding a long term visit pass and found a job in Singapore. I am currently having a work permit.
Rite now I am undergoing divorce proceedings with my husband.
My question is what will happen to my wp pass when we finalized our divorce?
Will it be revoked immediately ? Will I need to go back PRC immediately ?
If no, will my current employer know about the matter?
Pls advise. Thanks

To my limited knowledge
Your divorce and your WP has no relation but if you lose your WP you cannot get back your LTSVP as you got it thru your SG hubby
I do not think your WP will be revoke, best to seek MOM guidance on this
If it is revoke , yes, you have to go back to PRC within 7 days
If you are talking about your divorce proceeding, your employer will not be able to know. But for your WP status , yes , your employer will be informed by MOM and ICA
