Yep that's what I intend to do, and i just submitted the letter of permission for their granting hopefully it will work, but alternatively i was thinking it got rejected i could register marriage in other countries first instead at least there is an official document before i can engage having my fiancee over to have her baby

Okay! Good. The first hurdle has been cleared. Now you can proceed, knowing that you and she will not fall foul of MOM's strict guidelines. Now, you only have one ministry to deal with instead of two. You next hurdle will be with ICA and trying to get her an LTVP after you have ROM'd.

Not really problematic one, but will still have to apply for LTVP. Should not be a problem unless overstay after WP canceled. If she is back in China, should not be a problem.

Hi JR8, Just read everything through again and in details, do you mean that i get married here in singapore or in china? I dont mind being married anywhere. i understand i cannot get a LTSVP for my fiancee in the coming months but i certianly hope that if we were to get married, i would have permission for her to come to singapore for giving birth that's all

I can't see it matters where you get married. I think the hurdle you face is that you have as much as already admitted that you are considering marriage for purposes of convenience (to buy a flat). ICA policies are to prevent against this for your own good. Then you have the salary hurdle which you miss... so you won't get an LTVP for her based on current status.
Permission to give birth? I have no idea.
My earlier point was that if you say spent 3 years in China with her/your child, then at least you'd be an established family unit. This might take away doubts about marriage of convenience etc. Then your only challenge might be getting a job back in SG with the necessary $$$ in order to set your family up back home.

Hi JR8, thanks for the clarification as hope I don't give the wrong idea. Its not for buying of flat that I want to get married here. I can get married any where as long as Singapore recognizes it as we both have had thought through and ready to commit which is why I am asking if I can get permission for her to give birth next time.
I hope I don't give a wrong idea that this is a marriage of convenience here. We just want a family of our own even if she goes back to china as long as we did not offend ica or mom it's fine

Oh but you started out by saying that rent costs as much as BTO and you'd discussed it (with wife to be)... and wanted to get married to buy HDB.
No?

Hi, yes I did mention it but it's a secondary factor I am thinking of either ways I can still stay with my parents, saying that rental is expensive if we were to move out for our kids in future which is when we get married and etc. We do not have to buy a flat just stating the cost and comparison here

Hi xiaoyun,
First congrats you getting the approval.
It will be great if you could share the steps in getting the approval as myself is intending to marry my gf, who is a chinese national.
A little of my relationship background.
i am 28/m earning gross 3.3K, staying with parent.
my gf is 27, on performing artiste work permit. second time here in singapore.
I tried calling MOM but none of the automated operator can direct me to speak to a human.
Before i take leave and go down personally. really hope you guys here can offer me advices.
