Moving to Singapore - Need some help

Post by function » Tue, 06 Jul 2004 12:28 am

Hi all.

I'm considering moving from Spain to Singapore but I'm having some doubts about the conditions I'm offered.
Well, can someone please give me an opinion about it?

I'm getting 43000 euros/year (around $s86000), a possible bonus of 20% of gross annual salary, an allowance for an apartment of $S1400 (can this get me a nice 1-bed room apartment?), health insurance,...

Does this sound a good deal?

Thanks for your (any) help.

Moving to Singapore - Need some help

Hi, assuming you're single with no family ("1-bed apartment" and referred to "I" not "we") ... sounds not too bad a deal at all. It'll all depend on what area you want to live. S$1400 is a little low for central Singapore (e.g. Orchard, River Valley, and the closer parts of the East Coast) but not impossible. Take a look at the other posts in these forums and you'll see lots of advice on locations. If you have specific questions, post them and wait for the replies to flood in :D
Good luck

Hi Yutenji, Thank you for your help. You're right, I'm single and the minimum is a 1-bedroom apartament. Altough I'd prefer a central apartament I'm opened to all possibilities...:). The office of the company I'll be working for is around Cross Street. Any ideas of good places around that?
Take care.

Emerald Park

You can consider Emerald Park (near Havelock Rd),2 bedrooms at $1,500, and close to your office. If around Shenton area, would be Emerald Gardens which is over $2,000.

Do let us know if you need assistance. You can call +65 61000 300.
