I'm a designer within a specialized field with 7and half years of experience. I previously worked in the US the last place being LA.
I recently returned to the UK, when I found out about a job in Singapore. The company asked me to quote how much salary I would expect my previous was around U.S$77000 and I paid $1425 rent $560 car etc and $240 bills etc per month and lived OK. I have reviewed a lot of the postings and the opinions on salary vary.

Basically I don't want to go and be on not a v.good salary as I intend to stay for 2 years and try and save some money but at the same time I don't want to out price myself. How much will I expect to pay rent and utilities in an expat area close to nightlife, shops etc for a one bedroom. I haven't decided whether I would want a car as yet. I would appreciate any advice.

There are websites which will tell you how much your job pays and how much you are "worth" - so to speak. It would be a good place to start. The last thing you want to do is lose an offer by not knowing where to start bargaining from.
