cats in condos

Post by guest » Mon, 05 Jul 2004 12:32 am

I am arriving in Singapore within the next month hopefully with my cat. I have some worries about bringing her and wonder if anyone can help me. She is used to getting out and about (especially at night) will she be able to do this if I rent a ground floor condo or will she have to remain indoors? Will having a cat really effect the choice of place I can rent, I am looking to stay somewhere quite central? Also does anyone have any experience of bringing a cat, used to a coldish north european climate, to Singapore, can cats adapt easily? Although I am desperate to bring her I don't want to if she will be unhappy.

Several of our neighbours have brought their cats, and they've settled in quickly. Of course your selection of places to live will be limited, but there is a lot available these days and you should be all right...

Hello Cat Loving Guest!

I was desperate to bring my cat and am missing him like crazy (currently seeking out, stroking and feeding radom strays!) but I decided to leave him with my Mum at home as he is quite long haired and hates the heat in the UK.

What is your cat like? All the local cats seem to be slight and very short haired. Does it cope well with heat? If you want to live centrally, the roads are a concern if yours hasn't developed road sense (mind is stupid, lovely, but stupid!)

Cats are adaptable though and it will certainly make your settling into a new country easier!

Good luck!
