I failed my mathermatics in my " O " level, can any kind Singaporean out there help me to count the following sum :

Supposing Mr. TT Durai steps down later, and the board decides to pay him 1 month's salary for every year's service.

So by calculating that he's been with NKF for 37 years.

Am I right to the following :

$25,000 x 12 x 37 = $11,100,000. ?

If its one month pay for every year, why do u multiply by 12? Isnt it just $25,000 x 37??? :
