Is Ang Mo Kio a good suburb?

Post by Telco » Sun, 04 Jul 2004 6:45 pm

Few questions about moving to Singapore- :?:

1.We are looking to rent a condo in Ang Mo Kyo/Bishan/nearabouts? Do you think $1500 is decent money for a good condo?
2.We want to bring our stuff from Australia, but it seems that unfursnished apts are few and far between. Can we actually ask the landlord to remove his furtniture?
3.Last, but not least, are dishwashers a common white good in Sin?In Oz, almost all houses would have one? Is that the same in Singapre?

Thanks for all you advice, in advance! :)

1. S$1,500 is a decent budget if you are renting in Ang Mo Kio. This is a 2 bedroom rate.

2. Yes, you may. It depends on different landlords.

3. Yes, dishwashers are common in Singapore. Only to the expats though.

Thanks Joop.

How much would I be looking to pay for a 3 br condo.? Are there any condo properties in that area( I've heard of Bishan 8) which you can recommend. (4-6 years old)

Frankly, I don't want to spend any more than 1500 on rental. My office would be in CBD...can you recommend any other areas in that budget where we will be close to MRT as well?
